Dr. Md. Jonaid Shafiq

Professor Dr. Md. Jonaid Shafiq is one of the pioneers of modern Pain Management in South Asia. Dr  Shafiq was the founder of pain medicine unit of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University, adorned the chair in 2009. 

Professor Shafiq is the Co- Chairman of Japan Bangladesh Friendship Foundation under which there are 3 nursing institute, 1 nursing College, 1 technology institute. 

He completed his MBBS in 1985, from Dhaka Medical College. He also obtained his Ph.D. in Anaesthesiology from Kyushu University, Japan.

This celebrated personality published more than 40+ scientific papers and more than 50k+ intervention Procedure related with Pain Healing in the local and international journal of science.

He is also associated with various philanthropic organizations including Shomman Foundation.
